The small desert city Shahpura has roughly 32’000 inhabitants and is situated 250 km away from Jodhpur.
We have known the Singh Family since 2011. The Ruler of Shahpura, His Highness Svasti Shri Rajadhiraja Indrajeet Deoji Singhji Sahib Bahadur, Raja of Shahpura (82) and the family of Sat and Maya Singh, the Chairpeople of the Trust, are supporting the local, poor and underprivileged people with financial means from the «Sudarshan Deo Charitable Trust, which we have been supporting since 2014. The focus of the Trust lies in the fields of Education, Healthcare and Environment.

Bal Basera Seva Sansthan

HIV/Aids are widely spread throughout Rajasthan. Information or awareness building is practically not available.
Children with parents who are HIV-infected or suffering from AIDS are discriminated and excluded from schools, society and relatives.

Bal Basera Seva Sansthan was founded in August 2010. In 2012 it was registered as NGO (non-government-organization) in Jodhpur, Rajasthan.
One of the founders and present head, Mr Dinesh Kumar Joshi, is himself HIV-infected. He thus knows the manyfold discriminations by the Indian society only too well.

In the two orphanages which we support through ANSHULA and also privately, solely HIV-infected girls and boys are admitted. In Bal Basera they not only find a shelter with lots of love and care. They also obtain appropriate medication, healthy nutrition, and schooling.

In the founding year in 2010, 30 girls and boys were admitted; at the beginning of our support in 2013, already 60 children were living in the two orphanages – and the number is growing continuously….

Sambhali Trust Jodhpur

After careful evaluation of further NGO’s and their projects, we decided in August 2016 to support Sambhali Trust in Jodhpur:

Sambhali Trust is a small NGO, located in Jodhpur. Their mission is to empower and educate underprivileged women and children from Jodhpur and the surrounding desert villages, and to thus help them to have a better future.
The Trust was founded in 2007 by Govind Singh Rathore, and has been growing steadily since.
ANSHULA has been supporting various projects of Sambhali Trust since August 2016.
